Vegas ProAm Southwest Drift Series at Sandia Speedway

A weekend of drift car racing starts Saturday, September 5, 2015 when the Whiskey Garage Drift Series combines with the Vegas ProAm Southwest Drift Series for the fifth annual No Coast Drift Party. It's drift all day and party all night. Saturday night's party includes entertainment by Bear: The Nightmare and Vale of Miscreation from Albuquerque, NM. The No Coast Drift Party and Whiskey Garage Drift Series are organized by local professional drifter Dan Brockett. Dan has been organizing drifting events in Albuquerque for the past 5 years and provides witty and insightful commentary during the drift battles.

The No Coast Drift Party has been a fairly laid-back drifting event and party for the last 4 years. This year the Vegas ProAm brings well qualified drivers from out side of New Mexico to the Pajarito Mesa track. Local drivers are fighting feverishly against time and money to qualify for the technical standards of the Vegas ProAm. A lot of the local drivers use their cars daily.

Sandia Speedway, 100 Speedway Park Blvd SW Albuquerque, NM 87121 is located on the Pajarito Mesa, one of the most desolate places on earth. It is 28.125 Square Miles of wind blown dirt and scrubs that, until recently, was without government services. It's only 10 miles from Albuquerque, but hard to find on a map.

Driver practice starts at 8 AM Saturday. The drifting competition starts at noon. It is $200 for the weekend to drive and $15 a day to watch. For $25 spectators can get a 2 day pass that includes camping at Sandia Speedway.
